Superior Senior Project Manager Wins Inaugural PACER Award from ForConstructionPros.com

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (December 16, 2024) — Liz Howard, P.E., Senior Project Manager at Superior Construction, has won an inaugural PACER (Pavement, Asphalt, Concrete, Equipment, Rental) Award from ForConstructionPros.com. The awards, launched in 2024, recognize professionals in the office and the field for their accomplishments in the construction industry. Howard won in the Women in Construction category, which honors women whose achievements and mentorship set an example for women at all career levels.

Howard has 26 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry, the last three with Superior. She has managed transportation projects throughout the Southeast, including emergency repairs to the Sanibel Causeway after Hurricane Ian destroyed the structure in 2022.

Howard’s passion for construction motivates her to encourage other women in the field. She’s a founding member of “Superior Women in Construction”, the talent development program designed to support, empower, and advance women in the historically male-dominated industry. Howard was a driving force in ensuring the program is a supportive forum where women at Superior Construction can learn, grow and share experiences with colleagues.

”The mentorship aspect of this award is especially meaningful to me,” says Howard. “I uphold high standards of performance from the people who work under me because I want them to go on to become the best manager, superintendent, scheduler, or tradesperson they can be.”
