Superior Construction Celebrates Completion of CR 210 Widening in St. Johns County
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Superior Construction leaders recently joined St. Johns County officials, including District 1 Commissioner Christian Whitehurst, to cut the ribbon on the County Road 210 widening from Greenbriar Road to Cimarrone Boulevard.
In 2023, St. Johns County selected Superior to deliver the project through progressive design-build. The team widened 2.3 miles of highway from two lanes to four divided lanes, adding a 22-foot median, four-foot-wide bike lanes in both directions and improvements at the Greenbriar Road intersection.
Before the widening, the two-lane road carried constant congestion as new neighborhoods and schools added to the corridor’s traffic. For people who travel through the area, the widened roadway means more efficient trips to work and school and around the community. The divided design and dedicated bike lanes also create a safer experience for drivers and cyclists.
Superior thanks St. Johns County for the partnership, its crews and project partners for their work, and the community for its patience throughout construction.
