Superior Construction Team Members Named 2025 Rising Stars in the AEC Industry

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (June 3, 2025) — Two Superior Construction Assistant Project Managers, Jenny Ferman and Aaron Kidd, are among the 25 winners of the prestigious 2025 Rising Stars in the AEC Industry Award from Zweig Group.

The recognition celebrates emerging leaders who are making an early and lasting impact on the built environment through exceptional technical capability, leadership and commitment to community and industry service.

Jenny Ferman has demonstrated remarkable leadership in managing complex infrastructure projects, including the Arlington Expressway bridge remediation. She pioneered the use of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) in Superior’s Southeast business unit, helping her team set a record for the largest UHPC pour in the Southeast. Ferman serves on the Superior Women in Construction (SWiC) Steering Committee and is currently working to establish a National Association of Women in Construction chapter in Jacksonville. She mentors emerging professionals and regularly speaks at universities to guide engineering students navigating careers in construction.

Aaron Kidd has showcased exceptional project management skills across multiple complex infrastructure projects. When faced with a severely damaged railroad bridge requiring complete replacement, Kidd led his team through a time-sensitive reconstruction effort, completing installation within a week. Currently, he manages the Brooks Bridge replacement project in his hometown of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Kidd is known for embracing innovative construction technologies, including Propeller drone survey technology and advanced robotics systems for earthwork operations. He actively participates in community initiatives, including the Construction Hike for Hope and building beds for children in need with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

“These individuals are already elevating the AEC industry through innovation, leadership and purpose,” said Zweig Group president and CEO Chad Clinehens. “Their impact is felt not only within their firms, but across their communities and the profession as a whole.”

Zweig Group provides consulting services to AEC firms, including mergers & acquisitions advisement, strategic planning, executive search, and business development training. The 2025 Rising Stars will be honored in September at the 2025 ElevateAEC Conference & Awards Gala in San Antonio, Texas.
