ArcelorMittal 160-Inch Plate Mill Leveler

Our team constructed a new steel plate leveler for the 160-inch plate mill at ArcelorMittal’s Burns Harbor Plant. Superior Construction’s scope of work consisted of excavating, demolition, dewatering, soil retention, and installing concrete foundations, and specific project components included deep foundation construction and precision alignments of thousands of anchor bolts. Despite high ground water levels, working around the existing operating line, and an extremely aggressive project schedule, we performed work around-the-clock to meet the schedule requirements.
